Alan Brown – Group Executive Director, Fredon Industries Pty Ltd
Alan Brown has worked in the industry for nearly 40 years, most of which has been with Fredon.
Fredon Industries was established in 1968 and operates from its head office in Silverwater, NSW. Fredon joined NECA in 1970.
The business provides services in the industrial and commercial sectors of the electrotechnology industry. Primary areas of operations include electrical, data and communications and air conditioning with specialist involvement in the areas of electronic security, telephony, fibre optic and copper cabling and switchboards amongst others.
Bruce Duff – Director, RIC Electrics Pty Ltd
RIC Electrics commenced operations in 1979 in Wagga Wagga, NSW and joined NECA in 1981.
The business operates in several areas of the electrotechnology including electrical contracting, process automation, switchboard manufacture, electrical design and consultancy, electronic security and teledata.
Bruce Duff completed his electrical apprenticeship with K and M Duff Electrical in Wagga Wagga and became a director of RIC Electrics in 1981. Bruce holds electrical licences in most Australian States and is Secretary of NECAs Wagga Wagga Branch.
Stephen Griffiths – Director Phasor Electrical Pty Ltd
Stephen Griffiths commenced contracting as a sole trader in 1978 and after continued growth of the business established Phasor Electrical Pty Ltd in 1993 at which time the company joined NECA. Stephen possesses an Advanced Certificate in Electrical Engineering and a Diploma in Electrical Engineering.
The business operates from Earlwood in Sydney and provides services in the commercial and industrial sectors, data installation, maintenance, repairs and inspections (review and audit).
Russell Houlahan – Executive General Manager - Commercial Operations Downer EDI Engineering
Russell Houlahan has been in the electrical contracting industry for the past 30 years, most of which has been with Downer and Ralph M Lee. In his current position, Russell manages key commercial and risk elements of a combined business in excess of $6bn pa.
Downer EDI Engineering dates back to the 1930s and is one of Australia’s largest providers of engineering and infrastructure services including mechanical, electrical, instrumentation and technical capabilities. Downer has been a member of NECA NSW since 1940.
Stephen Kerfoot – Director Kerfoot Electrics Pty Ltd
Kerfoot Electrics commenced operations in 1965 and operates from premises at Seven Hills, NSW. The company has been a member of NECA since 1971.
The business operates in a number of areas of the electrotechnology industry including general light and power, switchboard and electrical upgrading, data, communications and electronic security.
In addition to his roles with NECA and its group training company, Stephen Kerfoot has also played a significant role in supporting the operations of NECAs Parramatta Branch.
David Orr – Director, Crown Cabling Pty Ltd
Crown Cabling was established in 1998 and is located in Alexandria, Sydney. The company has been a member of NECA since 2003.
The business provides specialist voice and data cabling infrastructure. Services include the installation of communications, electrical and security systems, CCTV systems (cameras, coaxial and fibre optic cabling), system testing and the full range of systems development and integration.
David Orr is President of the St George/Sutherland Shire Branch of NSW, in addition to his Executive Committee duties.
