The Fair Work Act 2009 (‘the Act’) was introduced in large part on 1 July 2009 and with it came significant changes to the Termination and Unfair Dismissal Laws in Australia. It is important that members have a thorough understanding of the new legislative requirements together with risk minimisation strategies aimed at avoiding problems for members in this area.
