How to register under Cabling Provider Rules
If you have a current cabling licence, instead of renewing it when it expires you need to register with an ACA accredited registrar.

The Australian Cabler Registration Service (ACRS) was formed by NECA and others to provide cabler registration as required by the ACA Cabling Provider Rules. Click here to go to the ACRS website for more information.
You will have to meet competency requirements and sign a declaration that you are competent before being able to register. You must also hold evidence that you are competent. This evidence can be:
- A current licence or
- A certificate from a Registered Training Organisation showing that you have the relevant competency.
If you have a current licence you are automatically eligible for the corresponding registration type as shown below:
Licence Type - Registration Type
Base (BCL) or General (GPC) - OPEN
Restricted (RCL) or Domestic (DPC) - RESTRICTED
Lift (LPC) - LIFT
